one hundred fifty-four

Goin' Home
This piece is about the days lived in Asheville.  The apartment was built in 1916.  Old windows.  Old walls, old glass, old furniture -- everything had a history to it. Even the plants were old.  Respite and comfort are good friends having a conversation here.

Mountain Housing Opportunities invited me to take part in their annual "Doors of Asheville" Auction.  MHO is a non-profit whose mission is to build and improve homes, neighborhoods, communities--and lives--and to build hope and dignity in the people we serve.  "Goin' Home" is in the auction with other great art works.  Take a gander.

The auction event is Friday, September 9th.  Ticket information may be found on their website.  (See above.)  This is the fourth time I am able to assist in such a worthy cause.
