one hundred fifty-eight

The Randolph Arts Guild hosted the 39th Annual Fall Festival over the past weekend.  The outdoor event draws a crowd (60,000ish) and serves as the largest fund-raiser for the Guild.  Craftspeople, artists, food vendors, civic organizations, freaks, fellows, and femmes all converge and we have a nice, neat, and good ole' fashioned downtown street fest.

And if you think that's a mix -- check this out: Asheboro City Police Lieutenant, Maxine Wright, in support of Breast Cancer Awareness month fashioned a pink mohawk in uniform as she worked the festival.  To top it off she volunteered to pose at the RAG's Program Booth as local artists rendered her portrait.

-- all kinds of awesome in Asheboro, folks.
