two hundred forty-four

A person and his plant -- that's "Robby".  And he's listening to the potted rubber tree.  The scribbles were collected on a recycled piece of paper which happens to be a church bulletin.  This illustration is part of a grant project from over 10 years ago.  The premise features the raw, unfiltered sketches that aren't normally available for view.  These type of drawings are often locked away in a sketchbook or beneath the surface of a finished work of art.

When a variety of elements come together no doubt a variety of commentary surfaces.  The resulting points of view are an enjoyable portion of sharing visual art with others.

You have to put the art in the light and listen.

Thanks to Delurk Gallery for giving this work a place in the sun and a new home.
