"Confusing" is an oil painting from 2006.  It is part of the "Day and Night" series.  It goes along with the mysteries bathed in the iridescence of night light.

One night while visiting the Silver Moon Saloon in Winston-Salem the moon peeped through the signs and posters on the glass window.  The hanging sign showed two states of business -- open and closed.  Was light coming in or going out?  It was confusing.
