one hundred sixty

This is Gloria.  Back in the middle of creating the "Asheboro People & Places" body of work she sat for a painting.  It's one of my favorites from the series.  Folks, Gloria is a wonderful person.  Her personality just shines all around.  Look at the photo -- there's light all around her.  She's from B-r-e-u-c-k-e-l-e-n -- and has wonderful stories to share of her upbringing.  It's an honor to connect with others in the intimate creative fashion of portraiture.

We all recently went down with the Randolph Arts Guild to see the Rembrandt exhibit at the North Carolina Museum of Art in Raleigh.  Gloria had so much fun on the trip she insisted on buying me an Arnold Palmer in the museum cafe -- because they didn't serve sweet tea -- but that's another story.
