Roy Carter, Director of the Visual Arts Program over at A & T State University invited me over to chat with the students on Friday. The upper level painting students are in the middle of a creating a six to eight piece body of work. I was in the middle of one of their Master Critiques. A number of them are working with figurative motifs and representational painting. It's refreshing to see current visual voices using these methods to share their thoughts. Overall their concepts were on-point and a good academic challenge to tackle. Thank you for this opportunity and I look forward to seeing their projects develop.
