Southern Pines, NC (a recently designated "All-America City") was the site for the Arts Council of Moore County's 32nd Fine Arts Festival opening reception. 185 works of art comprise the show. Survey exhibitions like this swing wide with variety of skill and genres. It can set a challenge for the juror to make decisions. Sarah Powers, Executive Director for Raleigh's Visual Art Exchange was the judge this time. She, like other good judges, left comments for folks to consider that explained her decision process. It's a really tight exhibition. I found her decision process just fine, I got a Blue Ribbon, Mixed Media for "A Lovely Brick Wall."
