two hundred fifty

RADIOACTIVE is the name for the Randolph Arts Guild's 2014 annual artists invitational.  Ten artists from as far away as Amsterdam, and dotted around the southeast including NC and VA were selected for this show.  Each artist works outside the mainstream.  Their works resonate, are abnormal, and have energy -- hence the title.  RAG Gallery Committee member, Ross Holt and I served as the guest curators.

These are images from the recent opening reception.

Artists Tavia Brown and Woodie Anderson -- two of the 10 artists in this exhibition.  Find out more about each artist via the guild's website

This exhibition is up until Tuesday, October 28th, 2014 at the Randolph Arts Guild.  There's another chance to meet the artists -- on that same Tuesday, during RAG's free Lunch & Learn program.  Bring a lunch and your questions from 12p -- 1p.  Many of the artists will be on hand to casually discuss their work.

Thanks to the RAG community for this opportunity to mount an exquisite example of contemporary art practice.  These artists rock.  This show is validation that good art makes good life.
