More Than Birds in the Trees
This piece is in the Raleigh Fine Arts Society's 2011 North Carolina Artists Exhibition.  It's one of 65 selected out of a record number of 550 entries according to the Chair, Nancy Kenna.  The juror is Peter Nisbit, Chief Curator of the Ackland Museum of Art in Chapel Hill.

The exhibition begins with an opening reception complete with juror's lecture and awards ceremony on Sunday March 2 from 2pm -- 5:30pm.  It's up through May 2.  Drive on over to the Betty Ray McCain Gallery located in the Progress Energy Center for the Performing Arts, 2 East Street, Raleigh, NC 27601.  Call 919-831-6060 or visit http://www.raleighfinearts.org/

    Very nice Les, is this your piece? I especially like the serenity of the pose, like a madonna with the electrical pole in the background symbolizing a cross.
