two hundred twenty-eight

Zogo and his new owner
Zogo was a hit at the recent Randolph Ramble.  The second annual Randolph Ramble featured touring the over 35 artists' open studios throughout Randolph County last weekend.  The Randolph Arts Guild was a stop on the tour.  We had Oompa Loompas, small scale fungi sculptures from Chris Richter, and a X-mas stocking knitting class.

The Guild was also host to yours truly and studio guest Robomustache aka Charles Wade aka Chuckles aka Joey.  He makes cool little bamboo robots and animals and mustache stickers and cute little animal stickers.

While selling our wares to the ramblers we had a special feature: Zogo.  He is a collaborative art piece.  Robomustache created him, and Les III painted him.  This robot is made of wood and has a heart of steel.  We were trying to come up with a name for the collaborative creation.  An elder of the community overheard the conversation.  We asked her what should the colorful robot be named.  Without a blink Carmen replied " ZOGO".  She did so in a tone and a manner that could not be denied.  Zogo was raffled off and Elaine H. is the lucky winner!  Congratulations Elaine.  Thanks to everyone who made the second annual Randolph Ramble a great time.
