two hundred thirty-three

What a combo.

The two paintings in this photo feature Satan.  In the upper, titled "Making It Look Easy" he plays cupid with the help of spirits.  In the lower he appears in a sketch book, "Flirting with the Other Side".  The second is a piece about the left and right side of the body.  And the left side isn't necessarily more evil than the right.

Both pieces are from "The Lighter Side of Satan", a solo show that debut'd in 2013 at Delurk Gallery.  The 13 paintings reveal the dark lord in several roles including a match maker.

Both pieces now reside inside this domicile in Winston-Salem, NC -- with Albert.
