About SMASH

Santa Monica Alternative Schoolhouse (SMASH) is a K-8 public school of choice with team teachers and multi-aged classrooms. SMASH strives to help children become active participants in a democracy that is still being shaped. The curriculum, co-created between students and teachers, is based on student’s interests and backgrounds, as well as current local, national, and global events, and is taught in an environment that embraces freedom with responsibility. The SMASH Arts & Letters Sale features original postcard-sized art from all types of artists – from well-regarded fine artists to amazing parents who are closeted cartoonists.
Works are sold for $40 on a first-come, first-served basis. Each 4″ x 6″ work is signed on the back and artist identities are revealed only after purchase (limit five per person).

To my left coast friends -- the party gets going on February 22.  Viewing starts at 7pm and the sale begins at 8pm.  Enjoy drinks, small bites, and music. All proceeds go directly to the Santa Monica-Malibu Education Foundation.  Tix.
