two hundred forty

Here's the poster art for the upcoming screening of the 1971 classic, "Willy Wonka and the the Chocolate Factory".  Love me some Gene Wilder.  Also love opportunities like this one.

The kind folks over a a/perture cinema in Winston-Salem picked 14 artists to re-envision the movie posters for their favorite films.  The project is called Screen Club and also serves as a 5th year anniversary celebration for the art house cinema.

Every three weeks throughout 2014 a different Screen Club film is shown.  Attendees have an opportunity to not only enjoy the film, but take home a limited edition, signed by the artist, handcranked poster.  Yeppers.

And if that's not enough --  at the end of the year, a/perture will auction off the original poster art to the lucky patrons.

"Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory" screens Wednesday, June 18 at 7:30p at a/perture cinema.  I'll be there to enjoy the film and eat some popcorn.  Come enjoy the magic of moving pictures!
