two hundred thirty-nine

A mess of thank you notes came from Northern Elementary the other day.  Mrs. Chantrey and all her fourth grade art students wrote about their appreciation for my visit earlier this year.  The students drew on the handmade cards.  There were plenty of urban scenes and people walking with 'swag'.  One student drew Michael Jackson in a limo.  Another downtown scene included a mall, an art museum, recording studio, apartments, and an Italian pizza joint.  The inner musings were just as colorful --

Thank you so much for coming to Northern.  Thanks for your time and heart put into it. You are funny and super talented, I want to be just like you.  I hope I can come to your art shows.

Well, shucks.
